The Parliament in Session. The children representing the 1465 slums in Hyderabad arrived with their mentors arrived at 9 am, dressed in their best. The new cabinet was sworn in. The child parliamentarians talks ranged from lack of toilets in their communities, to management of garbage in the City, to the reasons for the severe drought conditions and farmers suicides in Telangana State, to the mindless exploitation of natural resources and the livelihoods of the poor in the name of
development in the country, to the responsibility of developed countries to the 
poor countries…Finally, they adopted resolutions to redress the issues, and make a future that is safe for children.
